A Waupaca man is free on a 15-hundred dollar signature bond following multiple charges, including stalking, in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 34 year old Jeremy J. Murwin is charged with felony stalking with use of a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon, and criminal damage to property. The criminal complaint alleges Murwin exhibited stalking type behavior against a neighboring family in the Town of Farmington, one of whom is a Waupaca County law enforcement officer, from May 2015 through lat month. The complaint alleges he slashed the tires of a Waupaca County squad car at that residence on two occasions, threw a rock through a squad car window, and ran over the family’s mailbox. The complaint says the officer was targeted because of Murwin’s dislike of law enforcement. If convicted, he could face up to 12 and a half years in prison. Murwin is due back in court next Wednesday.
