Officers with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department will see a bump in pay, following approval of a new contract. The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors this morning gave unanimous approval to the Law Enforcement Association Collective Bargaining Agreement for 2020-2021. The contact includes a “catch-up” provision in 2020, where the 31 employees will each receive a $1.25 per hour bump in pay, plus two percent across the board. Officers with 7 years of service receive an additional increase of 75-cents per hour. In 2021, officers will receive another two percent increase, or the same wage increase that the county’s general employees receive, whichever is greater. Officers will now pay 15 percent of their monthly health insurance premiums, up from 10 percent. The agreement covers 31 patrol officers, detectives, and transport officers.
