Central Wisconsin Conference runners took three of the first four places in the Girls Division III State Cross Country Championships this Saturday at the Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids. Amhers’s Alissa Niggemann took home the gold, winning the race in 19 minutes and .4 seconds. That was about 1 second ahead of Westby’s Elena Schmidt. Iola-Scandinavia’s Erica Kisting crossed the finish line in third, and Delaney Green-Gretzinger of Marion took fourth. Westby won the Girls Team competition. In the Division III Boys race, Rosholt finished fifth.
In Boys Sectional Championship Soccer: Rice Lake beat New London 5-3.
In Girls Sectional Championship Volleyball: Appleton North over Hortonville 3-0.
