There will be no charges against two New London police officers who shot and killed a Neenah man in New London August 19th. That decision was announced this morning by Outagamie County District Attorney Carrie Schneider. The investigation into the shooting shows officers Ryan Denu and Brody Erickson fired a combined 17 shots at 31 year old Kole Knight, who pulled a gun from his waistband when confronted by officers. Four of the shots struck Knight. It was later determined the gun Knight had was a realistic toy look-alike that belonged to a friend. Knight’s girlfriend told authorities Knight had made statements that he wanted to end his life. The two officers remain on paid administrative leave.
