A Waupaca man convicted of his 14th drunk driving offense was sentenced to six years in prison. 64-year-old Daniel Nordell was also placed on extended supervision for five years Monday. On May 24th, Nordell was arrested after hitting a mailbox, a speed limit sign and utility pole in Farmington. A preliminary breath test – which isn’t admissible in court – revealed a BAC of .17%, more than double the usual legal limit, and well above the .02% limit he had due to previous convictions, officials say. In his previous 2006 conviction, Nordell was sentenced to three years in prison.
