The Waupaca School District will be under new leadership next year. Superintendent Greg Nyen has tendered his resignation to the school board, effective at the end of this school year. Nyen is in his third year at Waupaca, having taken over for long-time administrator Dave Poeschl in the summer of 2016. In his letter to district employees, Nyen says he will be pursuing other interests in education. School Board President Steve Johnson says the board has been in contact with the Wiscsonsin Association of School Boards, which assists districts in the search process for a new administrator. Johnson says the board may also pursue the help of other search firms. He says they expect to have a permanent selection made by July 1st.
