An Iola man is free on a $5,000 signature bond following multiple charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court, including a felony count of causing substantial injury to a law enforcement officer by resisting.
30 year-old Steven L. Fietzer also faces misdemeanor counts of resisting and disorderly conduct as an act of domestic abuse, with use of a dangerous weapon. Fietzer is alleged to have threatened a woman in Iola with a bow and arrow last Friday, then allegedly threatened officers with a knife. Following a struggle, three officers were finally able to subdue him, but the complaint says an Iola officer suffered a concussion in the altercation.
If convicted, Fietzer faces up to six years in prison. He is due back in court November 24th.
