The state Department of Justice has released the identities of two police officers involved in the shooting of a Neenah man last week. Ryan Denu and Brody Erickson both remain on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation being done by the Division of Criminal Investigation. The two officers confronted 31 year old Kole Knight last Friday, who pulled out a weapon, and the officers shot and killed him. The weapon turned out to be a toy, look-alike gun. Denu is an 8 year veteran of the New London Police force, while Erickson has been on the force for 18 months. The Department of Justice says they will turn over their investigative reports to the Outagamie County District Attorney’s office when their investigation is concluded.
