The Green Bay Packers are making several moves today to bolster their defense for next season. The Packers have agreed to terms with pass-rushers Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith. Za’Darius Smith led the Ravens with 8 and a half sacks last year. Preston Smith had 24 and a half sacks in his four years with Washington. The Packers also made a deal for free agent safety Adrian Amos, who started all 16 games for the Bears last season. All three players are in their mid-20’s. ESPN is also reporting that the Packers informed linebacker Nick Perry that he will be released. Perry had injury problems last season, and had just one a half sacks. He would be owed 11 million dollars this coming season if he were kept by Green Bay. The new deals can be signed beginning at 3:00 tomorrow afternoon.
