A Plainfield man was ordered held on a $1,000 cash bond following drug charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 39 year-old Andrew N. Patterson, formerly of Iola, was arrested last Thursday after authorities say he had a 3 pound package of high-grade marijuana delivered to a residence on County Highway P in the Town of Harrison.
The complaint says law enforcement learned of the pending delivery, and verified the package contained marijuana before having an undercover officer deliver it to the home where Patterson took possession. A short time later the Waupaca County Swat Team and members of the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force executed a no-knock warrant on the home, and allegedly found Patterson and others smoking some of the drug. The complaint alleges Patterson also had a local client list of people who were going to be purchasing the marijuana.
Patterson is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted.
