Brown County authorities continue to investigate the death of a pedestrian in Ashwaubenon from Friday afternoon. It happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 41 around 1:30, when a man, attending to a stalled vehicle, somehow moved into a lane of traffic and was hit. Authorities say the driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian is cooperating with police, and alcohol was not a factor. No charges have been filed, and the victim’s name has not been released.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian in Wausau was hit by a car late Saturday afternoon. That happened on Grand Avenue around 5:15. The pedestrian was taken to a Wausau hospital, and is in critical condition. Authorities say alcohol was not a factor in this incident, either, and the driver is cooperating.
