A Waupaca man will serve 60 days in jail following conviction in Waupaca County Court on a felony drunk driving charge. 31 year old Samuel D. Peterson pleaded no contest to his 4th operating while intoxicated, after putting his truck into a ditch in the Town of Lind in January 2018. The complaint says he was driving with a blood-alcohol concentration of .185 percent. Along with the jail time, Peterson must pay a 1000 dollar fine, lost his driving privileges for 32 months, and must install an ignition interlock device for 32 months.
Meanwhile, 32 year old Garric E. Roberts of New London was placed on two years probation following conviction on charges of marijuana possession and 4th offense driving with a restricted controlled substance. Roberts was under the influence of marijuana when he was stopped for speeding in Waupaca last January. He also was ordered to install an ignition interlock for one year, and lost his driving privileges for 27 months.
