A Clintonville man is free on a 2000 dollar signature bond following multiple charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 28 year old Joseph E. Phalen, Jr., faces felony counts of burglary and possession of methamphetamine, both as a party to a crime, as well as misdemeanor counts of concealing stolen property and drug paraphernalia. The criminal complaint alleges Phalen was involved in a break-in at a Clintonville auto dealer in April. The complaint says officers executed a search warrant at his residence in Embarrass Tuesday, allegedly finding stolen items, as well as methamphetamine. If convicted, Phalen could face up to 16 years in prison. He is due back in court on the 20th.
