A Clintonville man is being held in the Waupaca County jail after being charged with threatening a law enforcement officer. 23 year old Taylor P. Pingel is also charged with three felony bail jumping counts, along with misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. The criminal complaint says police were called to the Clintonville Motel for a disturbance Tuesday. There they allegedly found Pingel in a loud verbal altercation with a relative with whom a no contact order was in effect. Officers then arrested Pingel, who allegedly resisted being put in handcuffs. He is alleged to have threatened to assassinate one of the officers, and once inside the squad car, he is alleged to have kicked out the back window. The bail jumping counts stem from bond conditions on three previous felony cases in Waupaca County from earlier this year and in 2019. If convicted, Pingel could face over 20 years in prison. He is being held on a 5000 dollar cash bond.
