Two Plainfield men made initial appearances in Waupaca County Circuit Court this morning facing drug charges. 22 year old Anthony J. Knoeck is charged with second offense possession of marijuana and a third offense drunk driving. 54 year old Peter J. Sommer is charged with second offense marijuana possession, and drug paraphernalia, both as a party to a crime. The criminal complaint says the car Knoeck was driving in early November was stopped by a state trooper in the Town of Dayton for speeding. The complaint alleges Knoeck told the trooper that he and Sommer, his passenger, had smoked marijuana in the car just a few minutes earlier. The trooper also allegedly found pot in the glove compartment of the vehicle. If convicted, both men could face up to 3 and a half years in prison.
