A Waupaca man has been charged with homicide in the hit and run death of an Amherst teenager in late July. 46 year old Michael G. Pribbernow faces counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, hit and run resulting in death, operating while intoxicated– 3rd offense, and operating while revoked. The criminal complaint alleges Pribbernow struck and killed 18 year old Timothy Cruse, II (the Second) in the early morning hours of July 28th, while Cruse was walking on a rural road near Hartman Creek State Park, southwest of Waupaca. The complaint says Pribbernow told authorities he spent much of that day drinking, estimating he had 10 beers and 4 or 5 shots. The complaint alleges authorities found damage to Pribbernow’s truck, and blood the matched Cruse on the undercarriage of the vehicle. If convicted, he could face up to 65 years in prison.
