A New London man is free after posting a 25-hundred dollar cash bond following a felony drunk driving charge in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 49 year old Wesley L. Roberts, the Third, faces a count of operating while intoxicated– 6th offense, after being stopped in the Town of Mukwa Saturday night. The criminal complaint says Roberts was driving on State Hiway 54, and nearly hit a guard rail immediately after passing a squad car. The complaint alleges a preliminary breath test indicated a blood-alcohol concentration of .185 percent. Roberts has 5 drunk driving convictions, dating back to 1990. If convicted of his 6th offense, he could face up to 10 years in prison. Roberts is due back in court next Tuesday.
