The murder trial of a Fremont woman continues in Waupaca County Court today. 44 year old Allison Roe is charged with homicide in the March 2015 stabbing death of Craig Dake. A jury for the case was seated Friday, then after the courts were closed for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday Monday, Tuesday’s ice delayed opening arguments until after 10 a.m. Testimony in the case was expected to begin today. The defense says Roe was the victim of domestic abuse, and stabbed Dake in self-defense. The trial is expected to last into next week.
