After school activities were cancelled at Iola-Scandinavia Thursday after a threat to the school was found written on a bathroom wall. The threat was discovered just after 3 pm, and school staff, along with Iola Police, made a decision to close the school and cancel all activities. Police Chief Robert Prahl says a specialized k-9 was brought in from Brown County to search the high school/middle school building. Nothing suspicious was found. Police have no suspects yet. The Iola-Scandinavia district has a scheduled off day today.
