An Ogdensburg man is free after posting a 500 dollar cash bond, following a felony charge of cause mental harm to a child. 50 year old Vincent L. Sievers also faces misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, as well as disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, both as acts of domestic abuse. The criminal complaint alleges Sievers, in front of the pre-teenage girl, threatened to hang himself with a rope last Thursday night in Ogdensburg due to relationship problems. The complaint alleges he went as far as climbing a ladder to tie the rope to a tree limb. If convicted, Sievers could face up to 12 and a half years behind bars. He is due back in court September 24th.
