A 39-year-old Stevens Point man is expected to be charged with attempted homicide after authorities say he forced his way into an apartment Thursday morning. Jesse Lee Jaggar is also facing possible charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and battery, according to a release from the Stevens Point Police Dept.
Officials said he broke into an apartment on 2nd St. in search of a woman who was not there and was confronted by another woman.
They said a physical altercation then broke out, with the woman grabbing a knife and inflicted “significant stab wounds” to the man’s neck and arm. The man left the residence afterwards, but collapsed on the sidewalk where officials found him yelling for help. He was then rushed by ambulance to a medical facility. The woman was also treated for injuries during the altercation. Jaggar has not yet been formally charged.
