A criminal complaint has been filed in Waupaca County Circuit Court, charging a Stevens Point man with felony drugged-driving. 31 year old Jacob M. Locaste faces a count of 4th-offense operating under the infuence of a restricted controlled substance, along with misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and drug paraphernalia. The complaint alleges Locaste was under the influence of heroin when stopped by Weyauwega Police in July. The complaint alleges multiple drug-related items were found in his vehicle. The bail jumping count stems from bond conditions on a charge of 3rd-offense drunk driving from this past April. If convicted on the latest charge, Locaste could face up to 6 years in prison. He makes his initial appearance on the charge December 4th.
