A suspect is in custody in Portage County following two stabbings over the weekend. According to Stevens Point Police, the first happened around 2:30 Sunday morning at a Main Street pizza shop. A 24 year old man suffered a life-threatening wound to his neck. He is said to be in stable condition at St. Michael’s Hospital. A short time later police were called back to the hospital when a 33 year old man came in with a knife wound to his arm. He said he was stabbed near the pizza place by a man fitting the description of the suspect in the first knife incident. The 28 year old suspect was captured in Waupaca County by officers with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office. He is in the Portage County jail.
