Three suspects are in custody in Portage County following the robbery of a convenience store last Friday evening. Sheriff Mike Lukas say three teenagers, ages 15, 16, and 17 were all taken into custody Monday. They are all from Stevens Point. The Store gas station in Rosolt was robbed at gunpoint around 9:50 Friday evening. Lukas says the suspects had handguns and took an unspecified amount of cash and eigarettes, the fled west on Hiway 66. Deputies soon located the vehicle, but the suspects abandoned it after crashing off County Hiway “Y”, and fled on foot. Despite a K-9 search, the suspects were not located, but authorities were able to gain their identities through evidence, and other crimes committed in Stevens Point Friday. The sheriff says two guns were found in the suspects vehicle….. both were “look-alike” weapons.
