A Waupaca man is free on a 2000 dollar signature bond following a felony drug charge in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 21 year old Trenton A. Swortz faces a count of possession of marijuana– 2nd or subsequent offense, along with a count of drug paraphernalia. The criminal complaint alleges police found 8 grams of marijuana in the basement of Swortz’s place of employment, along with various items of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he could face up to 3 and a half years in prison. Swortz was convicted in September of 2nd offense possession of marijuana, and was sentenced to a year’s probation, and 90 days in jail, which was imposed and stayed. He was convicted in 2015 of delivery of marijuana, and was sentenced at that time to two years probation, and 30 days in jail.
