A Shawano woman is due in Waupaca County Court next month facing a felony forgery count. 45 year old Kimberly U. Tejeda also faces a misdemeanor count of obstructing police. She is alleged to have tried to use a counterfeit 100-dollar bill to pay for goods at an Embarrass convenience store in June. The complaint says the clerk recognized the bill as being fake, and held on to it for authorities. The complaint also alleges Tejeda gave officers a different name upon being contacted. If convicted, she could face up to 6 years behind bars. She is due in court September 10th.
