One of two people charged in the hit and run death of a Waupaca woman earlier this month is now in the custody of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office. 54 year old Marcos A. Tomas of Clermont Florida, is set to appear in court for a bond hearing this afternoon. He, along with 34 year old Felicia F. Lubin, is charged with hit and run resulting in death. Tomas also faces a count of operating without a valid license resulting in death. He is alleged to have been the driver of a rental van out of Arkansas that struck and killed Jacqueline Johnson as she walked along Highway 10 in the Town of Lind in the early morning hours of September 15th. Lubin is alleged to have been a passenger in the van. The complaint says she called authorities to report someone had been hit, but allegedly lied about the driver and the type of vehicle they were in. Tomas and Lubin each could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
