A Milwaukee man twice convicted of felonies is free on a 2000 dollar signature bond following a felony battery charge in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 30 year old Lorenzo D. Tombs is alleged to have punched a woman in the side of the head, and in the nose, during a fight in New London Tuesday. The complaint also alleges he threw a stool at the woman. The woman was taken to the hospital with a broken nose. If convicted, Tombs could face up to 3 and a half years in prison. He is due back in court on the 27th. Tombs served 4 years in prison, and 9 months in jail for convictions in 2004 and 2005 of armed robbery with use of force, and burglary.
