The remains of a woman discovered in the Tomorrow River 18 years ago have now been identified. The Portage County Sheriff’s Department today says the remains are those of 36 year old Susan Glaser of West Allis. The remains were found in the river in Amherst in 1998. DNA had confirmed earlier that the remains were human. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension sent the DNA to a national missing person database in 2014 as it investigated another case. The Associated Press is reporting the match came back as Glaser. Police in West Allis asked the Portage County Sheriff’s Department to keep the identity of the remains confidential as they investigated Glaser’s death. So far, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the death.
