Two area men are facing felony drunk driving charges in separate cases in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 59 year old David G. Ingles of Amherst is charged with his 5th operating while intoxicated, along with a felony possession of methamphetamine count, and a charge of drug paraphernalia. Ingles was pulled over in the Town of Farmington around 10:30 Tuesday morning after allegedly crossing the centerline and fog line on Hiway 54 multiple times, according to a state trooper. The complaint also alleges officers found meth and other drug items in the vehicle. Ingles has four prior drunk driving convictions, dating back to 2003. If convicted on the newest charges, Ingles faces up to 10 years in prison. He is being held on a 2000 dollar cash bond.
46 year old Kevin J. Ricketts of Manawa is charged with his 4th drunk driving offense. The complaint says Ricketts was stopped in New London in late April after striking a stop sign. His alleged blood-alcohol concentration was .295 percent. Ricketts has three prior owi convictions dating back to 1992. He faces up to 6 years in prison if convicted, and makes his initial court appearance June 19th.
