Two area men are facing charges for alcohol-related violations in separate cases in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 43 year old Jeremy J. Olson of Neenah is charged with 3 felony bail jumping counts, along with a count of resisting arrest. Olson was charged in July with a 7th drunk driving charge, and was placed on the Soberlink program as part of his bond. The criminal complaint alleges he tested positive for alcohol last Monday, in violation of that bond. The resisting charge stems from a traffic stop in Waupaca Friday, in which Olson alleged fled from the officer on foot. The officer caught up to Olson, and took him into custody. He is being held on a 5000 dollar cash bond, and is due back in court August 24th.
In the other case, 47 year old Paul Mortenson of Marion is charged with felony bail jumping for allegedly being found under the influence of alcohol in the Town of Union in late July, in violation of a previous bond. Earlier this year Mortenson was charged with threatening a law enforcment officer. He faces up to 6 years in prison if convicted. Mortenson is due back in court September 25th.
