Two New London residents are in jail following multiple drug charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 21 year old Marcus D. Watson is being held on 50-thousand dollars cash bond, while 21 year old Ashley R. Altman is being held on a 5000 dollar cash bond. Watson faces 14 counts in all, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, three counts of deliver of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, and bail jumping. Altman also faces the drug trafficking charge, along with three counts of bail jumping and possession of narcotic drugs and meth. The criminal complaint says officers executed a search warrant on a storage unit and an apartment last Thursday, allegedly turning up packaged meth, as well as heroin, along with a loaded handgun in a vehicle. If convicted, Watson could face up to 70 years in prison, while Altman faces over 25 years. Both are due back in court next Tuesday.
