Two more women have been charged in connection to a forgery ring operating out of the Clintonville-New London area. 49 year old Lorrenda A. Fritz of Clintonville faces 6 counts of forgery and one count of theft by false representation, while 36 year old Amy E. Kurowski of Amherst is charged with a single forgery count. Fritz is alleged to have printed numerous checks with a bogus business name, then forged and cashed them for over 32-hundred dollars. Kurowski last June is alleged to have forged one of those checks, cashing it for nearly 800 dollars. Fritz is due in court next Monday. She faces up to 38 years in prison if convicted. No initial appearance date has yet been set for Kurowski.
