Two area residents face drug-related charges in separate cases in Waupaca County Court. 19 year old David H. Freeman of New London is charged with a felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, along with misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and drug paraphernalia. The complaint alleges police found over 200 grams of marijuana in multiple baggies in Freeman’s backpack in New London Saturday. If convicted, he could face up to 6 years behind bars. Freeman is due in court this afternoon, and is being held on a 1000 dollar cash bond.
In the second case, 24 year old Desiree R. Osman of Weyauwega is charged with first degree recklessly endangering safety, along with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. The criminal complaint says Waupaca police officers responded Friday to a vehicle in the downtown area for a man passed out. They found Osman a short distance away. She is alleged to have told them her friend in the truck had overdosed on heroin, and she had allegedly ingested some heroin while driving in the city. The complaint alleges police did find some marijuana in her possession. Osman was released on a 2000 dollar signature bond, and is due back in court July 9th.
