Two area men will spend time in jail following sentencing hearings this week in Waupaca County Court. 27 year old Harley D. Beckerson of Menasha was ordered to serve 6 months behind bars on a probation revocation. Beckerson in May had pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping, and was placed on probation for 3 years. Court records say he failed to abide by rules of his probation, and was sent to jail. Beckerson was given credit for 122 days already served.
In a separate case, 21 year old Trenton A. Swortz of Waupaca will serve 30 days in jail after pleading no contest to possession of marijuana– 3rd offense. Swortz was found with a substantial amount of pot at his workplace. He was granted Huber privileges while serving his time.
