Two New London woman are set to appear in court this month on charges they stole mail from residents’ mailboxes. 29 year old Jacqline D. Swenson and 30 year old Nicole L. Russell each face three counts of felony mail fraud and one count of forgery. Russell also faces additional charges of credit card fraud, theft, and identity theft. The pair are alleged to have driven around the New London, Bear Creek, and Clintonville areas in November, taking mail and packages out of residents’ mailboxes. The complaint alleges mail and packages were found during the execution of a search warrant at the residence the two women share in New London. In all, the complaint says there were 157 victims. If convicted, both Swenson and Russell face over 20 years in prison. Swenson is due in court Monday, while Russell makes her initial appearance on the 24th.
