The city administrator in Waupaca will serve two weeks of unpaid administrative leave as part of a discipline plan handed down by the Waupaca City Council last night. 57 year old Henry Veleker was arrested in the city for operating while intoxicated in the early morning hours of April 10th. The council last night met in closed session to discuss the matter. Along with the unpaid leave, to be taken before May 15th, Veleker also loses three months vehicle allowance, which averages about 130 dollars per month, and must go through an employee assessment program for alcohol evaluation. The council also noted that if Veleker has another alcohol-related incident, he would be subject to termination.
