A Waupaca area man is headed to prison following trial on a felony drunk driving charge. A jury Tuesday found 57 year-old Eugene E. Volk guilty of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited blood alcohol concentration—10th offense. Volk was stopped in the Town of Dayton in June of 2014 after an officer saw him weaving over the center line. Volk had six previous OWI convictions in Wisconsin and three more in Arizona.
Following the guilty verdict, Judge Ray Huber sentenced Volk to four years in prison and two years extended supervision. Volk also had his license revoked for three years following his release, and must install an ignition interlock device for three years.
