City of Waupaca property taxpayers will see a slight bump in their taxes for 2018. The proposed budget of 6.9 million dollars calls or a tax rate of 10-dollars and 18-cents per thousand dollars valuation, compared to 10-dollars and 10-cents this year. That would mean an increase of 8 dollars on a 100-thousand dollar home. The overall tax levy of 3.3 million is down about 150-thousand dollars. The budget includes a 3 percent increase in the city’s health insurance premiums, and a 1 percent raise for employees. The city’s public hearing on the budget is Tuesday night.
