The Waupaca City Hall is now closed to the general public due to the coronavirus. That directive comes from Tuesday night’s common council meeting. City Administrator Aaron Jenson says that although City Hall is closed, there are availabilities being provided to schedule an appointment to register to vote, cast absentee ballots, or to submit building plans that cannot be sent electronically. To schedule an appointment, simply call City Hall. Essential services provided by the Police, Fire, and Public Works departments will continue, with some modifications to service to mitigate contact with the public. In other notes, Jenson says Waupaca Taxi will continue to operate, the Waupaca Area Recycling Center remains open, and all city committee meetings scheduled between now and April 6th are cancelled.
