The Waupaca County Clerk’s office extended hours on Tuesday evenings will continue. County Clerk Jill Lodewegen says their experiment over the past 6 months in staying open until 6 pm on Tuesdays has been a success in serving the public. The office began the extended hours in August, in an effort to handle those coming in for passports and marriage licenses. The office is the only acceptance agency in Waupaca County for passports. Along with that, Lodewegen wants residents to know that effective April 2nd of this year, the passport execution fee will increase from 25 dollars to 35 dollars for U.S. passport applicants using the DS-11 form, such as first time applicants over 16. It does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passports by mail using the DS-82 form.
