Waupaca County officially has a new Highway Commissioner today. The County Board this morning unanimously approved the hiring of Casey Beyersdorf to run the Waupaca County Highway Department.
Beyersdorf comes to Waupaca County from Shawano County, where he has been that county’s Highway Operations Manager for the past seven years. Prior to that he was the county’s Construction and Crushing Foreman, and he spent several years as an engineering technician for a private engineering firm. The former Marion High School graduate is also an 18 year veteran of the Wisconsin National Guard, serving multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Beyersdorf replaces former Commissioner Dean Steingraber, who left in mid-December to take the Highway Commissioner’s post for Outagamie County.
