Two Waupaca residents are facing multiple drug charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. Criminal complaints have been issued against 35 year old Justin M. Baumgardt and 42 year old Jessica L. Malone. Baumgardt is charged with possession of methamphetamine and amphetimine, along with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested in Waupaca in late November on an outstanding warrant. A subsequent search allegedly turned up LSD, THC wax, meth, and various pills in the room in which he was staying. Baumgardt faces up to 7 years in prison if convicted. He makes his initial court appearance January 7th.
Meanwhile, Malone was arrested the very next day after being found asleep in Baumgardt’s truck in New London. The complaint alleges authorities found meth and other drug items during a search of her belongings. She is charged with possession of meth, plus possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia as a party to a crime. Malone faces up to 3 and a half years behind bars, and she is also due in court January 7th.
