The cold weather has forced an extension of utility work being done on Waupaca’s west side. City Public Works Director Justin Berrens says the gas utility closure on Fulton Street near Hillcrest Drive will not be done this week as originally planned. He says crews hope to have that work completed by next Friday. Berrens says the entire gas utility project on Fulton Street was scheduled to be done before the end of the year. But because of unexpected delays, the project will be completed in the spring. The work will be temporarily shut down from January to March.
