A Scandinavia man is being held on a $30,000 cash bond following multiple felony charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 56 year-old Jerome L Weinmann is charged with threat to a witness, threat to family members of a witness, intimidating a witness, stalking, felon in possession of a firearm, delivery of marijuana, and possession of marijuana. Weinmann is alleged to have threatened a Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy at the deputy’s home last Thursday, and is alleged to have stalked the deputy over the past eight years, since a shooting incident in 2007 in which Weinmann was shot after pointing a shotgun at the officer. Weinmann currently has a civil suit filed against the officer and Waupaca County. Following Weinmann’s arrest Thursday, officers executed a search warrant at his home, allegedly finding a .30 caliber rifle, and over 12 grams of marijuana. If convicted, Weinmann faces up to 30 years in prison. He is due in court next Tuesday.
