A Wittenberg man is being held in the Shawano County jail on charges that include making terrorist threats. 22 year old Lawrence L. Walker, the Third, was ordered held on a 10-thousand dollar cash bond. Walker is also charged with threats to a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting, all as a repeat offender. He was arrested early last Thursday morning after calling the sheriff’s department, and allegedly telling dispatchers he had 17 hostages, and was going to blow up a Wittenberg bank. He also allegedly threatened to shoot officers, and demanded three million dollars in 20-dollar bills. Authorities were able trace his cell phone, and found him in Pond Park behind a tree. A taser was used to subdue him.
