The Wisconsin DNR is looking for the public’s help in finding out how an adult wolf was shot dead near Weyauwega this week. The agency’s Bureau of Law Enforcement says wardens found the dead female wolf Thursday morning on U.S. Highway 10 on the Weyauwega hill. DNR spokesperson Joanne Haas says wardens at first thought the animal had been hit by a passing car, but upon further investigation, they determined it had been shot.
