A Waupaca man who barricaded himself in his apartment in mid-August is now facing multiple charges. 41 year old Christopher W. Yakich is charged with two felony bail jumping counts, a single misdemeanor bail jumping, along with charges of unlawful phone use, possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct, and obstructing police. The complaint says Yakich last month called a county human services worker threatening harm to himself, and allegedly yelling at the worker. Police were called, who went to his apartment, and found him barricaded inside. Authorities were able to ram open a door, and Yakich allegedly tried to flee out a back door, but was aprehended by authorities. The complaint alleges they then found pot and other drug items in the apartment. If convicted, Yakich could face up to a dozen years in prison.
